Intense sweetness surpasses cocaine reward

The title of this scientific paper says it all! If there is one thing you can do to drastically improve your health, then cutting out factory-refined sugars is at the top of the list. When it comes to the health benefits, the science is clear. However getting that sugar monkey off your back may be more of a challenge – I find myself having to do this over and over!

“In most mammals, including rats and humans, sweet receptors evolved in ancestral environments poor in sugars and are thus not adapted to high concentrations of sweet tastants.”

Sometimes cravings win over logic.

Refined sugar is a hit of dopamine, the pleasure molecule at the centre of many addictions (including CandyCrush). So….why is it so easily available to children? Do we really know how chemically-concentrated sweeteners affect brains in full development? This goes without mention of the known links between refined sugar consumption to diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular disease (heart disease recently became our #1 killer in America putting cancer in at #2).

Now let’s change the future.

Let’s offer improvement and evolution for generations to come. After all, they will be tasked with elevating humanity. The least we can do is collectively contribute to children with healthy brains and happy hearts as they prepare to take over command of our tomorrow.

Simply adding wholesome foods has shown to reduce the consumption of unhealthy snacks in children. Studies have shown the positive changes can last for years!

If you’re really serious about quitting sugar, then you may want to consider getting all the necessary micronutrients which are needed for the biochemical reactions involved in eliminating waste and controlling blood sugar levels.
